Well it hasnt been a whole week yet...

This year for Thanksgiving we fried a turkey. Now I know some of you are saying fried food is not healthy and would probably taste kind of yucky, well that is not the case here. By frying a turkey we can cook it in a fraction of the time, in our case we cooked a 12.8 pound turkey in about 40 minutes. This way the bird has very little time to dry out and was really very moist, and not oily at all.

We did tackle this task last year, but with Ginny being pregnant and having the morning sickness did not get to enjoy the Thanksgiving feast last year.

What a creative little guy!

Skyler heard that the Colosseum was in ruins, and so he thought that he would try to rebuild it.

Four Months Old

Layla is 4 months old today. We had her 4-month check-up this morning. She did not like it when the doctor cleaned her ears out to look in them. I'd never heard her scream so much before! Her whole head turned bright red from the exertion. Anyways, Layla looks fabulous developmentally and her weight and height are great. She is 14 lbs, 8 oz and 26 inches long. That puts her into the 75th percentile for weight and 95th percentile for height. We got the "go-ahead" to start Layla on baby cereal, so we'll give that a try tonight! She is getting so big and is so sweet. I can't imagine our life without our precious little girl!

Last night was our Church's Trunk or Treat night.

The kids had fun.

Here is our decorated trunk:

Family Home Evening

This week for Family Home Evening, we carved a pumpkin into a Jack-O-Lantern.

We had fun:

Skyler came up with the design:
