Pictures in the Header

So, I thought it would be fun to explain where each of the pictures in the new header at the top of our blog came from.

I'll start in the top, left-hand corner. This picture is of Layla peeking in a door. Not just any door, it is the entrance to the Rexburg, Idaho temple. Layla was so curious about what was inside!

To the right, we see a picture of Skyler in front of the ocean. This picture was taken at Shore Acres Botanical Garden, outside of Coos Bay, Oregon. There are lovely trails leading from the garden to breath-taking vantage points of the coast.

The picture of Skyler and Layla is from Skyler's first day of 4th grade, taken when Skyler was waiting for his school bus.

Next, we see Layla smiling and posing with her sand shovel. She's sitting on a rock at the edge of the Pacific Ocean at Sunset Beach, Coos Bay.

Below her is a lovely picture of Skyler with some roses at Shore Acres. These roses were named "Wild Blue Yonder."

The kids took a ride on a friendly dinosaur at Little America, Wyoming. (This Little America is literally in the middle of "nowhere," and didn't even show-up on the GPS we were using.) I have pictures of Skyler with this (or a similar) dinosaur from when he was little.

The bottom corner features a picture of our family in front of the Coquille River Lighthouse in Bandon, Oregon.

Layla poses on a green slide in the picture next to it. This picture was taken in Pocatello, Idaho, when our family got together for a nice picnic.

Skyler and Layla pose on a rock found at a rest area in the state of Nebraska. I'm not sure where exactly . . .

Skyler's totem-pole friends were discovered outside of the Christmas store in Oregon, located somewhere in the Makenzie River area. (That's all I remember about the location.)

This middle picture was taken in Wyoming, outside of the National Fossil Butte Monument we visited.

There are posts about most of these places in older sections of the blog. I hope you enjoyed this "information session"!

Thanks for the info. I sometimes wonder why pics are chosen for headers and like to know. Those are some great choices.
