This week's edition of "So You Think You Can COOK!" is featuring Ribs, well SpareRibs to be concise, We took a clearance-rack slab of spare ribs and and looked up the top rib recipe at Allrecipes.com and cooked them.
Well the Technical term is "Make Yummy" and so if you want to try this out, and we will next time I see ribs 30% off or better, is to follow these simple steps:
1. Take some McCormick Rib Stuff Seasoning(official packaging)
2. If you cant find it you can mix a TBS each of Ground Cumin, Paprika, and Chili Powder in an old spice bottle.3. Apply Rib Stuff to your ribs, (well not your personal internal ribs but whatever floats your boat) Making sure to remove the membrane from the back first if included (this will be well worth it later), removal is made easier if you start it off of a couple ribs with a knife and then with a paper towel grasp and yank it should come off.
4. I would suggest to get your grill going before the last step, but whatever, I use a charcoal grill and You want to get your coals going and place along one side to use indirect heat by placing ribs on the other side, foil can be placed beneath the ribs to catch drips. If using Gas start it up on high before adding ribs and put ribs on the top rack with foil on bottom to catch drips and avoid flare-ups, then turn heat down to low.
5. Next step is to shut the lid and leave be for 1 hour, this is the hardest part, just let it be. I found out that with our spareribs it needed longer mostly because I didn't use enough coals, which I tend to do sometimes, and the original recipe is for 3 lbs and we had 4.
6. After you have let it go without peaking for at least an hour, if not you should start your hour over(just kidding), Grab the BBQ sauce of your choosing and brush on and cook for 5 more minutes. These ribs should turn out pretty good, we can't wait to try it again. Boneappletight!

Sounds really yummy. When you stated to put the spices in an old spice bottle I thought of Old Spice the men's cologne and thought that doesn't sound right and then I realized what you actually meant. Sorry it was just a senior moment.
You can use an "Old Spice" bottle if you want, but I just like to use an old spice bottle. I actually had the same thought when I reread it after posting and almost went back to change it but I got lazy.
Looks and sounds really yummy! You are welcome to move closer to me and start cooking for us every night. I mean, if you want to... :)
It was good, we did it again last night for Empty Chair Day, and we are still figuring out the best way for us.
