Christmas has come and gone, or has it?

So what do you do for christmas traditions. This year I was lucky enough to join in on some that are going to be a part of mine from now on. Christmas eve we put together a gingerbread house. We had a good time, I think learned some things for next time. The roof kinda fell off, and a little bit of decorating could be done before putting it all together. We watched some christmas movies. And we had "gadunkas"???? I'm not exactly sure how it's said or spelled, Ginny will have to fix that for me. It is just a bunch of snack foods set out, eat what you want and have a good time. And that we did.
Before bed we heard the christmas story, and Ginny's dad related the time he saw santa. then we opened a gift and it was time for bed. That night I had some of the most restless sleep in years. It must have been the christmas excitement keeping me up. Skyler was so excited Christmas Morning, he enjoyed everything he got, he is a good boy.
Then we came over to dad's in Iowa, and opened more presents. This has been the best Christmas ever, and not because of these gifts. Being with the woman I love and always will has been the best gift I could want. Still have Christmas with Mom on sunday and then the New Year will begin.
Everyone have a Merry Christmas season, and a Safe and enjoyable New Year.

Actually, I'm not too sure on how to spell gidunkas. That would be my guess. It was a great Christmas. I am a very lucky woman to have such sweet, wonderful males in my life. Both Skyler and Rick bless me in so many ways, and spending the holidays together just serves to remind me of the blessings I have. And who could ever top Rick's "surprised face"?
