Family traditions are fun to have and make. Growing up I remember making a Christmas Tree out of Star Cookies, and Mom had the set to do it. I remember doing this at least once and thought that it would be fun to do with my family now.
I don't remember most of the work that went into putting this together, and so I believe Mom probably did all of the work while we were at school or distracted or something (Thanks Mom).
Here is the cookies assorted, the recipe said to make 4 of each size:
When using all 40 cookies the tree was jinormous, and not very stable:
We removed some of the cookies and Skyler gave his approval to go ahead:
We had a blast Decorating the tree(s), we used the "excess" cookies to make an extra tree:
This one Skyler took the helm of:
He did an awesome job.
Mom (Ginny) took over the "big" one and did wonderful also:
Merry Christmas.

Great. Teach me how. Never saw one before. Skyler's is awesome but so is Ginny's. Is it time to eat them now?
I think I did make the cookies ahead of time and then we put the trees together. Yes, it does take a lot of work and I'm sure we never made a tree using all of the cookies on one tree. I just adjusted it to whatever I wanted for size. I really like your trees.
They looked great! Did the big one ever topple over?
Next Year, GInny gets to do the prep, now as a Parent I realize how much I took/take for granted.
It didn't fall, we thought that it would.
